Pet Reservations

The following information was last verified on 6/5/2024.

Pets in the Cabin

Breeze Airways welcomes small cats and dogs under 25 lbs (12 kg) to fly in the cabin. Breeze allows 5 pets per flight with a limit of 1 soft-sided pet carrier per passenger. In addition to the pet carrier, passengers are permitted to bring one personal item on board the aircraft. Animals must be at least 8 weeks old to be accepted on board. The fee for pets traveling in the cabin is $75 per one-way journey.

Pets in Checked Baggage

Unfortunately, larger dogs are not allowed as checked baggage on Breeze Airways.

Carrier Guidelines

For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers should not exceed 17" x 8" x 13" (43 cm x 20 cm x 33 cm) in order to fit under standard legroom and extra legroom seats. The carrier needs to be well-ventilated and leakproof, and your pet must fit comfortably with enough room to stand, lie down, and turn around. Pet carriers count as a carry-on item and must fit under the seat in front. Passengers are also permitted to bring a personal item that can be stowed in the overhead cabin.

Other Restrictions

Guests with pets may not be seated in the bulkhead seat or in an exit row. For safety reasons, pets must stay in the pet carrier while in the boarding area, during boarding and deplaning, and on board the aircraft.

    Warning – be careful!

I went to add my Yorkies to a flight I had booked on breeze. I’ve traveled with my dogs many times on different airlines both in one carrier as they only weigh 17 pounds combined. Breeze only allows you one pet per carrier, regardless of whether combined pets and carrier weight is under 25 pounds. It was only AFTER I had booked my flight, Paid for the seat upgrade They require, and paid the pet fee that I learned that this airline does not allow multiple pets in one carrier. And of course they will not refund my flight fee, my pet fee, or my upgraded seat fee. They’re the only airline I know that has this ridiculous policy - I guess it’s just a way to get more money from unsuspecting passengers. Just a warning to check the fine print on anything you do with these people. I believe they are very duplicitous.

Paid for great seats, they reassigned without any notice and won't give $50 back

I booked to fly with Breeze and our dog Oliver. I paid for the great seats up front, $50 extra for the two of us. When we boarded the plane we noticed our seats were changed to the back of the plane and someone was sitting in our seats. I asked the steward on the plane and they said they were sorry and there was nothing they could do about it because the plane was full and to e-mail Breeze for a reimbursement. That was on May 20th. I have been e-mailing with Breeze back and forth and today they told me they changed my seats because of the pet and the carrier wouldn't fit under the seats I paid for.
They offered me $35 in Breeze rewards, not the full $50 that I paid for. I do not understand why their site allowed me to purchase the seats in the first place since I booked with a pet and than instead of reimbursing me the full amount only offered me $35 in Breeze rewards, not a $50 credit to my account or $50 worth of breeze points. This was their error by allowing me to pay for the seats in the first place with the pet booking. So don't pay for the seats up front they reassign you without any notice and don't give back your $50
