    Not great

We stayed with our BIL&SIL, along with two of our dogs. The backyard was not fenced in, although there was a small fenced in area that was along a steep hill. The house was pet friendly with concrete floors and 'cheap' textiles for the couch. It would have been nice if there were flashlights for walking the dogs at night, dog bowls for food & water, a dog bed, and some dog toys.

The house was clearly a flip, where one could see through gaps in the wall from the downstairs bathroom into the half bath. The walls appeared unfinished. Multiple doors to the outside stuck. The stairs showed a need for repair - both of the stairs themselves and the metal banisters. The closet and pantry doors were screen doors, which was odd. The pantry was barely stocked. There were not many plates/glasses/silverware that we had to run the dishwasher after every meal. There was an issue where there was a lack of toilet paper and no tissues.

It would have been nice to have a list of things to do in the area, as well as maps/directions to nearby parks/hiking. Another heads up that would have been helpful is about the neighborhood cat that will wander through the yard. Other instructions such as where to buy firewood, where to find the outdoor gear/furniture would have also been helpful. The hose was very responsive and tried to be helpful whenever there were questions; although the multitude of typos felt out of character based on the listing and prior communications.

My SIL judges rentals based on a Stephen King scale, we decided this would be chapter 8: things are off kilter, but the turn has not yet occurred. In my humble opinion, I have stayed in better places in North Georgia for less per night that were pet friendly without a pet fee or such a large cleaning fee. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it.
