Clean, nice pet area
Best Western Plus Wendover InnI liked that the pet area supplied poop bags and trash bin right next to the pet area. There was also an exterior door that led right to the pet area which was very convenient.
Decent room, large grass area, housekeeping could be better
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Sidney NERoom was comfortable, but housekeeping could do better—the inner curtains were ripped, there was some grime under the sink area that had been unswept for some time. There is a large grassy area for pets, so even if you have a bigger dog that needs more exercise than just a quick trip out to pee, there is room for some play.
Very clean, good neighbourhoods for walking
Hyatt Place West Des Moines Jordan CreekRoom was large and comfortable. It's located in an area that has many sidewalks and is not too far from a nice park. This is great for those with bigger dogs who need a walk or a run after some time in the car.
Decent room, hard place for bigger dogs
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Montpelier an IHG HotelRoom was decent and there is place for pets. However, it is on a very busy road, so if you have a larger dog that might need a walk or run after a car ride, this place is not ideal.
Nice area to take dog out
Best Western Gateway Adirondack InnPerks: Large area for taking the dog out. If you want to do more walking, it's not too far to get to the downtown area. There are loads of food options right near by—both fast food and sit-down. Staff were friendly and helpful. Perks/Needs improvement: laminate flooring in room could be good if you have a pet that has accidents. However, it's not very cozy. Needs improvement: paint on walls needed touch-up, we had a giant thunderstorm and downpour of rain the night I was there, and there was a small leak in the ceiling by the window valance. Overall, it's a decent place and is easy on/off to the highway.
