Avoid! Avoid!

Avoid at all costs! Despite my better judgement, I decided to stay at this La Quinta since it would be close to family vs. staying in Austin or San Antonio. Upon checking in, I found cobwebs decorating multiple corners of the hotel room, and to my surprise, received a front row ticket to the night’s tournament of kings as the freeloading spider champion devoured its rollie pollie rotisserie in front of my very eyes. In need of a cool breeze to calm my bloodlust, I decided to turn the AC unit on only to find rodent droppings sprinkled between the air vents. I quickly confronted the guest experience representative at the check-in desk about their housekeeping practices, to which she did not seem surprised. Nonchalantly, she replied with “We’ll have Ecolab come out and take a look” as if this has been a reoccurring guest complaint. She generously refunded me $40 of my $170 room rate for the night, and with my tithings, I quickly drove to The Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio and paid $140 for the same size room. Long story short, avoid contracting HPS and stay anywhere else!
