Misters
ZinburgerThe California bowl was amazing! We got seated on the back patio that was covered and had misters, they even intentionally put us at a table as close to the mist as possible. We were the only ones there around 4 o’clock, so we had the whole patio to ourselves for a while before the dinner rush came in.

Good dogs allowed inside
Valley Coffee CompanyThe gated patio was shaded and had ceiling fans but the employee said well behaved dogs may come inside! Cute neighborhood! Served coffee, booze, and pastries. Chill atmosphere where most people were on computers working. Grass outside to go potty.

Country bar
The StilleryWe came for a late dinner around 9pm with our dog on a Thursday night and asked to sit on the patio. There were mist fans to help keep us cool. There was a live country band and a decent crowd inside at the bar so we had to ask if anyone was going to come out. The food was okay, I got a pizza and they salted the crust? Our dog didn’t seem to mind the noise and enjoyed people watching the busy sidewalk.

Misters were a life saver
PitchWe came in the heat of June and enjoyed the patio. Misters surrounded the whole place which made being outside bearable.

Worth the hype
O.H.S.O. Eatery + NanoBreweryThis place is extremely dog friendly. My dog thought she was too big to sit under the booth on the back patio. Other people let their big dogs on the bench too and the server assured that’s completely normal. As soon as we sat down the server brought a baggie of treats and a bowl of water.

Fun stay
Landmark Lookout LodgeGreat view of the mountains from the property! The hotel was just a short drive from Tombstone where the dog and I walked around for a bit. The staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was just fine—cereal was stale, not many options.

Rooms smell like smoke
Quality InnThis hotel was just what I needed—a place to rest and shower on a long road trip. The hot breakfast was delightful! However, as soon as we opened the door, we could smell a smokey odor emanating from the room. When I brought it up to management, they said the smoke wafts inside from the air conditioners. It was also concerning that the side doors to the main building had card swipes that didn’t work so anybody could enter the building—management said they were aware and they’re working on it.

What you’d expect
Motel 6-Carlsbad NMNothing fancy here, just an affordable place to sleep before doing the caverns. There were spots for the dog to go outside, though it was pretty dirty with cigarette butts and litter. The place felt safe and the lady at the desk was very nice to the dog.
