The solitude in which one can explore the beautiful lakes, scenic vistas, and mine remnants make this trail a favorite amongst dog-friendly trails in this region. Please note that dogs must be on a leash no longer than 10 feet; dogs are not permitted in public-use areas.

Fishkill Ridge Trail is a somewhat difficult 5-mile hike in Clarence Fahnestock State Park in Cold Spring, NY. This dog-friendly trail offers you and your pup challenging climbs, descents, and magnificent views of the river and bridge. If you are headed out during hunting season, be sure to wear orange. Dogs must remain on a leash no longer than 10 feet and are not allowed in public areas. Be sure to let Fido take a good drink, as the only water is at the beginning and end of this trail.
